Introducing our New Head Chef
We are delighted to welcome our new Head Chef, Tony Marsh to Hadley Park House!
Tony is well known to a few of our staff, having worked with both General Manager, Jason and Events Coordinator, Amanda. So it was a happy reunion for the ‘Dream Team’ when he joined us in November 2021, at a time when we were both preparing for a busy Christmas and on high alert for another lock-down.
Naturally, the whole team rose to the challenge. Tony said: “We used the time leading up to Christmas to improve the menus and ordering and generally build the team skills so we now have an excellent team in place. We all have the same mentality, which is to work hard, have fun and create great food so that people who attend events and family gatherings have the best experience possible.”
Tony’s career started at the Park Inn, Telford as a Kitchen Porter, rising through the ranks under the tutorage of the Head Chef until he took over as Head Chef himself. He left in 2016 for a complete change of scene going from mass catering and weddings to being sous chef at the renowned gastropub, The Fox at Chetwynd Aston.

New Seasons Menus at Hadley Park
Tony is updating all our menus and is enjoying having a free rein to include more local food and some personal favourites, watch out for some Japanese and Thai dishes inspired by Look out for changes to our Sunday Lunch menu shortly including our Carve your Own Chicken platter.
Our new Working Buffet Lunch and Celebrations menus have been proving popular as businesses return to networking and conferences and delayed celebrations are taking place once again.
When it comes to weddings, we are still catching up and will be hosting around 120 this year. Weddings come in all sizes and styles so we try to offer a good selection of options from the traditional wedding banquet to a Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea or an American Style BBQ outside.
Getting Creative
Valentine’s Day was the first big event of the year, particularly after missing the last two. So, it was back with a bang at Hadley Park House Hotel with Tony’s 9-course tasting menu which definitely had the wow-factor.
Tony will be looking to create some more taster menus later in the year. In fact, we already have the 9 course, New Year’s Eve Taster menu ready to book on our website!
Afternoon Teas with a Difference
Tony has fully embraced the Hadley Park house themed events that have become our trade mark over the last few years, especially our Afternoon Teas. New for Christmas 2022 is The Grinch which involved Tony researching the book and film and developing a menu using the colours and tastes from the story, In fact, Tony has a business which is 3-D printing and he has already provided some great props for our Harry Potter Inspired Afternoon Tea which receives rave reviews.

If you like easy-listening music, join us on Saturday 28th May for our Tribute to the Legends with a 3-course dinner. Award-winning Josh Whittal will take you on a whirlwind journey paying tribute to top legends, such as Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Elvis and George Michael with a 3-course dinner.
