Hadley Park House Hotel announces sponsorship of Parkinson’s charity

Hadley Park House Hotel, the award-winning hotel and restaurant in Telford has adopted the Telford & Wrekin support group of Parkinson’s UK as their chosen charity. The charity was brought to the attention of Mark and Geraldine Lewis, owners of Hadley Park House Hotel by a regular customer who had recently been diagnosed with the condition.  He was telling them about the support that the group had provided him. As a coincidence, the Hadley Park House team had been discussing which local charity to support but had not yet decided on one single charity to focus their efforts.

Fundamentally, Hadley Park House Hotel wanted to help a local charity that perhaps didn’t benefit from the same high-profile activity that others seem to enjoy, so the local Telford & Wrekin support group for Parkinson’sUK seemed the perfect fit. The hotel will provide a venue whereby the group can arrange events and fundraising activities.

Mark and Geraldine Lewis said “We are busy putting together a calendar of events in association with the local group for Parkinson’s UK. From 13th March we will host ‘Healthy Steps’, a 6 week exercise class for those with Parkinson’s. We have a quiz night planned for 25th April and 60’s night with live music on 17th May. We hope to help the group raise a significant amount of money.”

Terry Bonner, Group Leader who is living with Parkinson’s added “Sadly Parkinson’s is a condition that affects many local people and their families and our group provides help and support. We are reliant on fundraising activities and are very grateful to Hadley Park House Hotel for lending their support to the Group.”
