Guinea Pigs’ Selections make the new Seasonal Menu

A group of aspiring food critics, food lovers and as we like to call them, ‘Guinea Pigs’, came to the hotel last week to help select dishes to feature on our new Autumn Seasonal Menu. 

Having tasting a whole host of dishes, diners carefully marked each dish to highlight their favourite. The dishes that made the menu and became the ‘People’s Choice’ were: 

Starter: Crispy Ham Hock Cakes, Watercress and Piccalilli Dressing

Main Course: Gourmet Beef Burger, Pork Belly Pancetta, Emmental Cheese, BBQ Sauce and Chips

The overall winner was the Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding, Toffee Sauce, Caramel Toffee Ice Cream

Guinea Pig Nights will be held quarterly to help select the next ‘People’s Choice’ dishes for the Dorrell’s Restaurant seasonal menu. The next Guinea Pig Night is set for Wednesday 15th January – pop a note in your diary!
