TELFORD HOTEL TOP ON TRIP ADVISOR
A Telford hotel has been voted into top place for popularity by independent travellers voting on the internationally renowned Trip Advisor website.
Hadley Park House Hotel is polled first out of 21 other recommended hotels in Telford beating the International Hotel into second place, Grays Hotel and Conference Centre was placed third with the Telford Hotel and Golf Resort in fourth place.
Hadley Park received 11 reviews from beaming brides, happy wedding guests, contented business travellers and weekend visitors full of praise for the 12 bedroomed Georgian hotel, on the outskirts of the town near to Shawbirch and Horton.
They praised proprietor Mark Lewis and his friendly and efficient staff, the hotel’s spacious bedrooms, “magnificent” wedding surroundings and “high quality, delicious” food.
One businessman told how he even switched hotels in mid stay to stop at Hadley Park after enjoying a business meal in the restaurant.
A guest from Sydney said: “If you are in Shropshire and appreciate top accommodation, great food and friendly atmosphere, this is the place to stay.”
The praise came from visitors who emailed the Trip Advisor website with their views. The website is popular with people who gain an impression of a holiday destination or hotel before they travel.
Hadley Park’s Mark Lewis said: “We always do our best to please but to get such praise from an independent review site such as Trip Advisor is praise indeed because our guests went out of their way to post a comment.”
Recession Buster Workshops updated for 2010 at the newly upgraded Hadley Park House Hotel
In July 2009 a number of local businesses signed up for the Recession Buster series of workshops which were developed by Icon Business Solutions and supported by the Shropshire Chamber of commerce. These were designed to help members of the Shropshire Business community to buck the trend of the global economy at the time and to grow their business in difficult trading times.
Seven months into the twelve month programme the response from delegates from a wide variety of Shropshire based manufacturing and service companies has been excellent. Gary Halpin of Icon commented, “We generally work one-to-one with business owners but we were being asked by smaller businesses, from start up to around £150,000 turnover for help. We developed this programme so that we can pass on our support in a way that is cost effective and time efficient for these companies. We have been so delighted with the response that we have decided to run the series again - the county is emerging slowly from the recession and we know that local business owners will be keen to access this support to ensure their success.”
Another change is that the venue for the new workshops will be at the Hadley Park House Hotel which is undergoing an exciting expansion with new conference facilities that will be available from Easter. Mark Lewis the proprietor of hotel said, “ Having spoken to Johnny and Gary of Icon I was impressed with their business knowledge and how they produce simple solutions for the overworked business owners. I am looking forward to hosting their workshops and show casing our new facilities”.
