“Fantastic Christmas dinner”

Reviewed December 2014

Fantastic Christmas dinner, excellent atmosphere, superb service, faultless!
Many thanks to Mark and the whole team.

“Wedding reception”

Reviewed December 2014

My friends reception was booked at this hotel in December. We stayed over the night before the wedding in addition to the night of the wedding. The day itself was fantastic the staff were really helpful and the food was delicious. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fantastic everything was hot and fresh. It’s a small hotel with a lot of character. They add an extra touch of putting a teddy bear on your bed which you can adopt if you wish. I would go there again and recommend it.

“Charity ball”

Reviewed October 2014

Last Saturday evening we held a hugely enjoyable and successful Autumn Ball to raise money for our special school. We took advantage of the hotel’s generous Charity Package which included room hire, reception drink and 3-course dinner, all for £25 per person. There was also discounted accommodation rates for guests who wished to stay over. Mark also kindly donated three fantastic prizes for our auction and gave 10% of the bar takings to our charity. The venue was perfect; relaxed and with a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing. Although we had 76 guests, the quality was that of a high class, fine dining establishment and received many compliments. The staff were marvellous; discreet and efficient yet friendly and polite. We would not hesitate to recommend The Hadley Park House and their excellent Charity Package.

“A must book”

Reviewed October 2014

We have to travel to Telford a couple of times a year, and really this is the only place to book! This time full marks yet again. From the friendly hello and great deal when we booked, to the inch perfect directions to our destination when we left, which knocked spots off google! The classic room was huge, beautifully fitted out, with a fabulous bathroom. Sadly we were the only ones dining, but the other guests missed out as it was delicious, with the usual immaculate service.
Breakfast too well worth the effort with local produce a feature. Will be back as it has been faultless every time we have visited.

“Superb hotel, clearly above the three star rating and at least four star standard”

Reviewed August 2014

Hotel is in a very quiet location so we had a great night’s sleep, the bed is massive and extremely comfortable. The room and hotel in general is really lovely and far over and above the standard of three stars from my experience. Excellent breakfast and evening meals, as well as fantastic service from staff. I would highly recommend staying here and will be back in future!

“A very nice option”

Reviewed June 2014

We seem to have so few nice options around the Wellington area, that offer a nice location and good food of the varied good cuisine type. Here you shall find both of these. For anyone not aware, the legendary Joan Collins spent one of her many first wedding nights here. Should you stay in the room she and the new husband stayed in, you can have your claim to fame in knowledge that you too slept in a room of the Dynasty icon!

“Wonderful venue”

Reviewed May 2014

We arranged to have our grandmothers 90th birthday party here. Even though there were not too many people attending, the hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They understood that our grandmother would not require a large meal. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, we had a lovely little quiet room to have drinks and then a small dining room for our meal. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

“A true gem”

Reviewed April 2014

Stayed here on business, wonderfully decorated and comfortable rooms. Whilst staying a wedding took place and I must say the way in which the function rooms were arranged and decorated were again wonderful. Very attentive and friendly staff wonderful food. All in all a true gem of hotel for its location, I really have nothing negative to say. I can only say I WILL be staying here again and would truly recommend this venue to any one for a short stay, wedding or even one of the many events they seem to put on though out the year. I can only imagine the same attention to service and detail are afforded to them as well.

“This has to be the best hotel in the area”

Reviewed February 2014

This has to be the best hotel in the area, we got married here in 2011 and return every year for our anniversary. The food is amazing, the staff are great and bedroom 1 is beautiful!
I would highly recommend a stay over or even just a meal in the hotel.

“This has to be the best hotel in the area”

Extract from review in January 2014

It has to be said that my past experiences of Christmas works parties have been less than satisfactory, so many times have I had poor quality pre-prepared Christmas food with seating so cramped one cannot comfortably enjoy the experience. Thankfully to say the Hadley Park House Hotel stands out as providing a thoroughly decent Christmas doo. Good food, plenty of room to move around, attentive service, a disco for the revellers and a quieter area for peace lovers, all together a top venue. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, breakfast was fine too.

“Many thanks for such a fantastic stay”

Extract from a review in January 2014

We stayed for two night for a friend’s wedding. Friendly professional staff throughout our visit. We ate at the hotel pre wedding night; meal and the food was excellent. We could not find fault with any aspect of our visit, would definitely recommend to family and friends and will stay again if visiting the area. Many thanks for such a fantastic stay.

“Simply Perfect”

Reviewed January 2014

Myself and partner chose the Hadley Park House Hotel to spend our New Year’s Eve as it is a local luxury hotel with an excellent reputation. On arrival our room was in the new block with ample space, tastefully decorated and a huge bed. The conservatory was impressively decorated for New Year, the food and service were exceptional. The whole evening was superbly run, with the bagpipes, disco and fireworks. We would definitely consider using the hotel for future events or recommend to others for meetings. Simply could not fault anything throughout our stay “simply perfect”.

“Pleasant and enjoyable”

Reviewed December 2013

I felt I had to write a review on my meal that I had on Monday evening with a group of ladies out for our club’s Christmas meal. As a vegetarian I am always given weird menus at Christmas time, and as everyone else tucks into a gravy meal I am left with risotto etc. On this evening risotto was my meal and I thought “oh no!” but it was amazing. The flavour and the portion was wonderful really enjoyed it and was pleased with the effort that had gone into it, the whole meal was really nice, and I normally have to complain about what I am given in other restaurants, but I thought how wonderful to be able to find someone who can cook a nice meal for me. So I want to say a big thank you to the chef for making my evening really pleasant and enjoyable.

“Amazing large bedroom with bathroom bigger than my lounge at home”

Reviewed November 2013

Traditional customer focussed hotel. Nice little bar, amazing large bedroom with bathroom bigger than my lounge at home. Staff friendly concerned but not over bearing.Easy to find and just off a main road. Quiet room comfy bed. Evening meal was fantastic quality beautifully served… I was on a DBB deal which often means a second rate menu but not here. Scallops followed by chicken with mozzarella and finally profiterole. In the morning so nice to have a freshly cooked breakfast rather than be directed to the warmed up buffet. A big thank you to all the staff – I hope my work takes me back this way again.

“Super venue, great food and brilliant organisation”

Hadley Park was the venue for my 50th Birthday party recently. Everyone had a great time – super venue, great food and brilliant organisation. Those guests staying over in the hotel were also really impressed with the hotel – lovely rooms and very impressive English breakfast!! Thanks all round

“One of the best hotels we have stayed at in the UK”

“Very Helpful Staff”

Four of us stayed at the hotel while attending Vfest recently. The hotel is excellent with large comfortable rooms (ours had a four poster), wonderful full English breakfast and very helpful staff.

“I can’t praise the Staff enough”

Reviewed 27th August 2013

We attended a family wedding at the hotel and I can’t praise the venue and staff enough. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were so attentive they really helped to make the day special. The venue itself was fabulous, a well blended mix of old and new décor really well done. We stayed in a family room in the old part of the building and the room was huge. Even with two adults and two almost teenage children we would have had room to swing a cat if we had wanted! The food for the wedding was good and breakfast the next day was nice too. All round great value and if we lived a bit closer I would be back.

“The Breakfast is Excellent”

Reviewed 11th August 2013

We were going to visit family nearby & picked this hotel up for its location. We enjoyed our stay, staff and manager were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent, we recommend absolutely this hotel to anyone who is travelling this part of UK. Thank you for a very good service. This is a nice place to have a wedding reception too, we were tempted to have our wedding reception here. Do not hesitate to book this hotel if you prefer country side.

“Rooms are outstandingly comfortable”

Extract from Review 1st July 2013

Spent two nights here before and after niece’s wedding. Rooms are outstandingly comfortable – pricing suggests 5 rather than the 3 AA stars on the door. Lovely dinner and decent sleep. Good breakfast. Hotel well located for town centre and iron bridge attractions.

“Provided Everything We Needed”

Extract from Review 17th June 2013

We attended a charity function and stayed for one night. The hotel room was of a good size nicely decorated and clean. Being fairly newly built helps of course but nevertheless it provided everything we needed. The actual function was held in a great room in terms of size, nicely decorated. Bar staff were helpful and plentiful. The food for the function was exceptional, I can’t remember better for mass catering. Very hot and tasty with moist chicken and crunchy vegetables.

“Chef is clearly exceptionally talented”

Reviewed 15th June 2013

I organised a charity ball and chose this venue as recommended by a friend. Hadley Park House did not disappoint! The food was outstanding – to produce 113 covers of food of such quality is a tall order but chef is clearly exceptionally talented. As a foodie I am über critical and for once couldn’t find anything to criticise. The service was excellent too. The venue was perfect – what a lovely suite and very tastefully decorated. Our room was top notch too. Somebody described this hotel to me as a hidden gem. I totally agree and glad it’s no longer hidden. Huge thanks team Hadley Park! It’s a must. Very reasonably priced for the quality too.

“Could not find a fault with this A team”

Extract from Review 8th April 2013

Lovely stay in a quiet hotel with a lovely view and their own grounds. The food was absolutely delicious. Well done – all the staff really look after all your needs. Could not find fault with this A team. Keep up the good work

“Exceptional Customer Service”

Extract from review 18 March 2013

The one thing that makes Hadley Park House so special is the customer service and the obvious attention paid to the training of their staff – it is far better than we have experienced in many 4 & 5 star hotels and it is a real credit to the owners that it all works so well – and with a smile!

“Our Wedding Day”

Reviewed 26 February 2013

We had our wedding at Hadley Park on Sat 23rd February 2013. All our guests attending had nothing but good words to say about the hotel. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, they could not have done any more to help us and our guests. Food was exceptional! Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Fully recommended and we will definitely be visiting again.

“A very enjoyable experience”

We received a very warm welcome from owners and staff, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is very well placed for local places of interest or for business travellers. Super food both nights, well-priced wine list. A most enjoyable couple of days and excellent value for money.

“Excellent food, room and overall service”

4 of 5 starsReviewed 11 February 2013

Stayed for one night after spending the day at the hotel in a business meeting. The service during the day was excellent, as was the lunch we had delivered to the room and as for the biscuits served with the coffee, all I can say is they were the best I have ever tasted! Following the meeting we dined in the restaurant and once again the service and food were both excellent.

My room was in the old part of the hotel and was clean and the bed was very comfy and so had an excellent nights sleep, not always possible in some hotels I have stayed. I would definitely recommend this hotel for both food and to stay.

“Always had an excellent stay here”

If you want to stay in a big chain hotel then this is not for you. This is a Great hotel with wonderfully friendly staff, average bedrooms that are clean and functional, amazing food and a lovely small bar to enjoy a malt after dinner. Breakfast always good and I always feel comfortable asking for what I want!!

Look forward to visiting again this year.

“Comfy bed and best breakfast I’ve had in ages!”

4 of 5 starsReviewed 5 December 2012

Like staying in somebody’s house, not a hotel. Entrance via a house door, along a corridor to reception, up the stairs to each individual room. Bedroom was warm and cosy but had to line the gap between door and floor with cushions to keep draught out. Amazing bed! Duvet felt like velvet and pillows were comfy. Bathroom great, tub was large and inviting.

“Professional Atmosphere”

4 of 5 starsReviewed 8 November 2012

We were taken here by a friend and business colleague for lunch. This hotels has been recently extended and moderised and I have visited before but this is the first time I have eaten here like this. We ate in the conservatory which is a very light and airy room but there are more private rooms contamporay with the age of the original building for private meetings.

“Lovely autumn break”

We have just returned from a short half term break in Shropshire with our 9 year old son. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel which is close to Ironbridge and it’s museums and also Shrewsbury with it’s historic buildings and shops. Great location. Staff very friendly. Good food. Overall a relaxing break. Recommended.

“Lovely relaxing break with the family, great food, excellent service, good value”

5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 November 2012

We have just returned from a 2 night break at the Hadley Park Hotel. The purpose of our visit was to visit the Ironbridge museums with our 3 children (13,11 & 5) whilst not advertised as a “family” hotel they could not do enough to accommodate us. Extra beds in the room were no problem nor were providing kids meals for our rather fussy 5 year old, even though they appeared to be the only children staying there during our visit.

5 of 5 starsReviewed 29 October 2012

I’m not surpirsed this is rated number one in the Telford area. I recently attended the wedding of a friend’s daughter here, including an overnight stay, and everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, the food very good (even when catering for 60-odd guests!), and our room was really comfortable, clean and superbly fitted (the shower room looked like it had been done only last week!)

“Excellent Service!!!”

We booked the Hadley Park for our daughters christening back in March, and can only say that I wish I could give them more then 5 stars. The service and food was out standing and the staff couldn’t have been more helpfull if they tried! We have booked to go there again at Christmas and cant wait!!!

We had our wedding here on 28th July 2012, cannot fault the service, food and all the team, they made it a wonderful experience for us and our guests. We were treated like royalty and I cannot recommend this hotel enough, not only for a wedding but the food and rooms are fantastic as well.

“What a find!”

5 of 5 starsReviewed 15 October 2012

What a wonderful hotel, found via trip advisor by chance, it must have meant to be as we have just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in this hotel. We stayed in the Chamber Suite which was a wonderful large modern room with a very large ensuite. The staff were friendly and very professional at all times, we were very impressed with them. The food and service was excellent. Cannot fault this hotel at all, only sorry that we were only there for two nights.
